Me and my friends played the new portal. Middle of our second match the game froze for all of us. Probably the same for everyone in the match. We could not even go back to Xbox spdashboard. After a while the Xbox restarted itself.
Happened again. Can't play at all if this keep happen. Also second match this time.
Happened to my wife and I as well. Third match we had played together and the consoles froze. I was going to power down at the console when her screen finally went black and the console restarted. Mine then went black and the console restarted. We have had issues with this one game freezing for a moment since forever. But this is new. And no other games have any issues on these consoles.
This has happened to me twice now while playing the super mix event.
Console totally unresponsive so had to do the old switch it off/on again!
Both times, it's happened just after I've been vanquished - maybe I should try and stay alive longer?!?! 🤔
no, its not you dieing...it always happens to me whether r not im alive one time I also got some insane levels of lag at wich point I quit the match because it was unplayable.

Plan on playing tonight with my wife again. I do not have time to check right now but will most definitely be playing and will post back and let you know if it happens again.
Andy-this same thing has happened to me several times today as well. It locks up my XB1 console and requires a hard reset. It most often occurs right in the middle of gameplay, but it has frozen on me right as the match starts, leaving me with a black screen and the daisy flower in the lower right corner. Frustrating to say the least.
