The key to making this deck work consistently is in what I called the solid low-cost drops: Bonk Choy, black-eyed peas, and Rescue Radish.
While these cards don't add to the synergy of the deck, they do add consistency in the early turns and are counters to various key Zombie cards. For example, Bonk Choy counters arm-wrestler, Black-eyed peas counters trick based decks and Rescue Radish is so big it can turn the tide of any game (and also works well with Chilly Pepper and Bonk Choy).
To be consistently successful, don't depend solely on the snow drops and the Winter Squash combo, and use the cards that you get to best work with the situation. There will always be times where you just draw all your snow drops and not a single freezing piece, but that's the worst case. Usually, if you draw some of your solid low-cost drops and some freezing cards, you can play a solid early game and then destroy your opponent once your other combo pieces arrive.
The key to winning is making the best of your draws, that's what makes it exciting.
