Fun Ideas
I've only seen gameplay of PvZ Heroes, but I'm already dying to play it. The amount of content already in the game is amazing and I'm really impressed. Both the Plant and Zombie sides have tons of different heroes and cards to choose from. Again, I haven't been able to play it because it hasn't been released to the public, so some of these characters might already be in the game. These are just a few things I'd like to see in PvZ Heroes.
Zombie Cards
Pirate Captain - 3 Damage, 5 Health. When destroyed, make a 1-3 Parrot Pal that says, "When destroyed, move a plant."
Bull Rider Imp - 4 Damage, 6 Health. When destroyed, do 2 damage to all Zombies and Plants here and next door.
Futuristic Shield Zombie - 1 Damage, 4 Health. At the start of this and every other turn, shield all Zombies here and next door.
Zombie King - 1 Damage, 6 Health. At the start of every turn, give a Zombie +1-2 and Armored 1.
Dragon Imp - 2 Damage, 4 Health. When an Imp is dealt 2 Damage or less, hurt the Plant hero for that much.
Yeti Imp - 3 Damage, 3 Health. When played: Freeze all Plants here.
Weasel Hoarder - 2 Damage, 5 Health. When destroyed, make 2 3-1 Zombie Weasels in random lanes.
Glitter Zombie - 2 Damage, 2 Health. When played: All Zombies with Team-up are shielded this turn.
MC Zom-B - 5 Damage, 3 Health. When played: All dancing Zombies do a bonus attack.
Arcade Zombie - 2 Damage, 5 Health. When this Zombie destroys a Plant, make a 2-1 Pixel Zombie.
God of Wealth - 2 Damage, 6 Health. When a Plant is destroyed, gain a teammate.
Plant Cards
Lily Pad - 0 Damage, 3 Health. Amphibious. All plants without Amphibious can be placed on this plant.
Chili Bean - 0 Damage, 2 Health. When destroyed, do 3 damage here and all Zombies next door move to random lanes.
Sun-shroom - 0 Damage, 3 Health. At the start of every turn, this Plant gains +3 Health and all Plants here and next door are healed for 2.
Magic Sprout(Trick) - Tricks cannot be played on this plant.
Endurian - 2 Damage, 4 Health. Team-up.
Thyme Warp - 2 Damage, 5 Health. Armored 1. This plant gains the same amount of damage that was or would have been dealt to it.
Spore-shroom - 3 Damage, 3 Health. When this Plant destroys a Zombie, make a 3-3 Spore-shroom with Team-up.
Primal Sunflower - 2 Damage, 3 Health. Frenzy. At the start of every turn, gain 1 sun. When this Plant destroys a Zombie, it heals itself for 2 and gives all Sunflowers Frenzy.
Shadow-shroom - 0 Damage, 2 Health. When this Plant is destroyed by a Zombie, that Zombie is dealt 2 damage and is permanently dealt 2 damage each turn.
Dusk Lobber - 2 Damage, 3 Health. Attacks here and next door.
Grimrose - 6 Damage, 3 Health. At the start of each turn, this Plant deals 1 damage to itself.
Ghost Pepper - 3 Damage, 2 Health. When a Zombie is played here, that Zombie is dealt 2 damage.
Dandelion - 3 Damage, 3 Health. Can attack in 3 different lanes. At the start of each turn, chooses a different lane to attack in.
Strawburst - 1 Damage, 3 Health. At the start of each turn, this Plant gains +3 damage. When this plant attacks, it gets -2 damage.
Jack O' Lantern - 3 Damage, 3 Health. This plant does not have Strike-through, but can hurt all Zombies here.
Shrinking Violet - 1 Damage, 2 Health. At the start of each turn, a zombie gets -1 damage and -1 health and this plant gets +1 damage and +1 health.
Escape Root - 0 Damage, 3 Health. At the start of each Plant turn, this can switch places with another Plant. When destroyed, deal 3 damage to a Zombie here.
Special Map and Mission Effects
I would also like to see each environment with a special effect. For example, a beach with a seaweed line similarly to PvZ 2 in Big Wave Beach. The tide will randomly come in and out and Plants/Zombies without Amphibious that are crossing the line can be destroyed when the tide comes in. That gives a use to plants like the Lily Pad. Another example of environment interactions could be in space. At the start of every couple turns, a random Plant or Zombie is abducted and bounced. Things like this would make the game harder and more fun to play and watch.
Premium Cards
I don't want to see Premiums like in PvZ 2. They were fine in PvZ 2, but they just won't work here. But card packs you can only open in the winter or other seasons with unique plants would be a cool feature(of course they would return each year so every player could get the special plants). Along with a customization item for each Plant, Zombie and hero would really give you a sense of difference from other players. For example, a scarf and beanie for the Snow Pea.
Bounty Challenges
This would be for the players who completed their story and didn't want to play multiplayer for reasons of maybe bad internet. There would be a bounty board where every 24 hours 1 or more random bounties would be shown with different challenges. For example, defeat this hero in 6 turns or less. If the bounty is failed, the player must retry by spending gems or another in-game currency or just wait until the bounties have been refreshed. When you complete these challenges, you will be rewarded with either a special plant, more currency, etc. This would keep the game from getting old if you couldn't play online.
Final Thoughts
These are my final thoughts because I couldn't think of anything else to say(it's up to you to decide whether or not that's a good thing). I hope you think my ideas are... well... GOOD ideas. If anyone who works at Popcap sees this, please take it into consideration. These ideas aren't up for me to decide, of course, but I think a lot of fans would like to see more things in the game like this after worldwide release. Like I said, it looks like a ton of fun and I would love to play it, but it needs a little more to it. 🙂
