Game Crashes when trying to join friend/friend joins
Hey all,
Seems like it has only been posted a few times but not much and I wanted to address this with a detailed explanation.
Problem: Game crashes when trying to join friend or they try to join my backyard/lobby/game (Xbox One).
Methods tried in order to "fix":
- Xbox Hard Reset
- Cleared Mac Address
- Router Reset
- Modem Reset
- Uninstall/reinstall
- Cleared save data
- Configuring region
- Configuring privacy and security settings
- Different account
- Different Xbox
- Contacted MS support
- Etc.
General Info:
- Able to play any multiplayer game mode alone without issue
- Able to play any other video game's multiplayer without issue
- Able to connect to players from different region in this and other games
- Reside in same state as friend
- Crash happened during the Beta several times as well
- Never encountered issue until this game
- Physical copy of game (Deluxe Edition)
I have gone back and forth with support and so far the "solution" ends up being me needing to contact my ISP or modify my IP in someway. Both of which I am inclined to believe are not the source of the issue. I strongly believe the issue is caused by something in the game that is essentially "game-breaking" when trying to connect to my friend. Saw another post with the same issue, seems to be an Xbox One issue targeted to select people. I hope it is something that will be addressed by the team ASAP as it is ruining the experience for one of my favorite games. If you encountered this issue and were able to fix it - please let me know.
