Quite literally, if you wanted to make a successful game or you had to do was care about less of this and more of that and you know what I'm talking about. Someone should show the comparison of BFN and GW2 to show the major differences and to see how successful GW2 was. There was generally poor maintenance over the game compared to the pink tuxedo man over there. I used to love this game, 1850 some rank around there I'm currently at. @Multiwarfare Yeah they even butchered the og on mobile: crazy idea but maybe just maybe pvz 1 succeeded because it was multi platform, pretty low prices, and had a good amount of content and skill gap not a microtransaction mess on your phone.

In order to buy everything in the game in GW2, you did not need to spend actual money if you wanted to get everything, but you had the option to.But for Battle for Neighborville, if you want everything from Rux, you need to spend real money to obtain everything. That’s why Rux has been a major downgrade in this game.

I would not mind if in-app purchases or micro transactions were in PvZ normally, but the issue is that the shooters are not free to play games, so why do the shooters, especially BFN, have so many micro transactions?

@TheSprinter85 Both GW2 and BfN have purchase-only upgrades. One does not casually play Z7 imp. Rux in GW2 is slightly better because you can grind for it any time while BfN has those rainbow stars limited per month and they are not enough for a single costume. All BfN required in this section was to multiply rainbow stars by 5 or more to make it at least manageable.

@Multiwarfare Aah ... gotcha! The amount of microtransactions, that got put into game after it was promised there would be none (I think), is crazy.

@Multiwarfare I have no doubt that gw2 outsold bfn and that most of bfn sales most likely from people diving headfirst into founders due to gw2 hyping up the game or people who liked gw1 as they have hidden the information from us while before they released the information about gw1 being a surprise hit and the launch sales of gw2 being very high.

@TheSprinter85 Trying to squeeze out money every way possible I mean look at battlefront 2 at launch dear god and I'm certain they didmt cancel because of the backlash and the fact that it was star wars and im general you just don't f with the battlefront community.

Advertising is terrible for both games. Absence of communication stabbed BfN. Changes have some real potential but devs failed to discuss and fix them

@TheSprinter85 The original PvZ also wasn't free to play. I bought the mobile app, but it was later updated to be free to play. It locked away the monogames behind crazy expensive prices (I think you needed coins worth 10$ for each). I had lost access to my monogames after the update, even though I paid for them. If you want to play the original game, I suggest getting the PS3 / XBOX 360 Version. It has the HD upgrade, Multiplayer and the monogames.
