What kind of Gamepad controller does this game support? The controller I use for other games wont work.

I ended up getting a Logitech F310 , the game detected everything and it works great without having to mess with the 3rd party programs . Thanks for the response hopefully this post will help other people too.

    Hey @Phrozentech9

Not sure if there's a full official list going round yet but my son uses an XBOX 360 controller and it seems to work without any issue. I'm sure there's plenty of others that work too - hopefully others will share their experience 🙂

Thank You for your reply.  I found another post where a person mentioned a program called "Pinnacle game profiler" and I gave it a try, so far it works pretty good. Still have some settings to mess with but my main purpose was to make it easier for my son to play.

I think any xinput controller should work, the Xbox 360 controller being the most typical example. Using an emulator should also work. For instance, I had my PC recognize a PS4 dual shock as an Xbox 360 controller by using DS4 to Xinput Wrapper.

That's an Xinput controller, so it should work with pretty much everything. Have fun with it!

So I literally just bought the f310 gamepad and it works ok, until I start messing with the controls. I like to have the joysticks be my movement instead of the d-pad (thanks to the N-64, ps, dreamcast and xbox and all other consoles since for making the d-pad just feel all kinds of awkward for movement. Lol) and I like have my look left and right on my left joystick and having the strafe on my right joystick. (it's easier for my brain to process in the moment of game play) So I've set the controls as such:

Move Forward: Pad Up (Which is weird, because it's actually the left joystick up)

Move Backward: Pad down (Which again is the left joystick down)

Strafe Right: Axis 1X (Right joystick right)

Strafe Left: Axis 1X (Right joystick left)

Look Up: Axis 1Y (Right joystick Up)

Look Down: Axis 1Y (Right joystick down)

Look Right: Pad Right (Again, left joystick right)

Look Left: Pad Left (Also left joystick left)

Soooo, I set everything and double and triple checked that everything is set properly and...

I can't look left or move backwards. All other controls work just fine. It's just these two that don't seem to work.

    I don't understand why.

    I hope someone can help.

I think your best  bet to getting it working optimally is using X360ce

    http://www.x360ce.com/

That should work with the F310 when it's switched to X mode on the bottom.

This game (along with many PC games) are optimized for the Xbox controllers.

    @LuluDominari

  • Does the thrustmaster Dual analog 4 work? Its a DirectInput controller, but it is optimized for the layout of an Xbox controller... This is all so confusing O_o

  • Took me a little while but i can confirm that ive got the gamepad up and running and working 100% as intended
