Gameplay discussion: Remaining peashooter and sunflower variants.

This post is more for the variants that didn't fit in bigger categories due to being more unique.

Law pea

Almanac:

Wherever there is injustice, you will find him. Wherever there is suffering, he'll be there! Wherever liberty is threatened, you will find... the Law Pea! Only available from 9am to 6pm, Monday to Thursday and also not available on Holidays.

125 health.

Uses the Six Shooter. It deals 13 - 22 impact damage and 15 - 26 critical damage depending on range. Can fire up to 800rpm. No splash damage.

Mouth shaped like an old six shooter barrel.

Gw1 upgrades state he packs peas with lead and watches old west movie marathons.

Agent pea

Almanac:

Licensed to Vanquish - the Agent Pea is a silent stalker, and makes vanquishing Zombies look easy. For king and country...and Crazy Dave

100 health.

Uses the Pea Silencer. It deals 10 to 15 impact damage and 20 to 30 critical damage. It deals no splash damage but compensates for this by having a faster reload speed and a higher rate of fire than stock. 12 ammo.

His snout has an extension that looks like a silencer. He produces less noise than regular peas because of this.

Berry shooter

Almanac:

This blue, berry-boosted beauty deals extra splash damage at a slower rate of fire - perfect for vanquishing the elusive, overly ambitious opponent.

125 health.

Uses berry blast which when fully upgraded.

The close range damage per hit base and critical is 35.

The max DPS at close range is 52.8.

The middle range damage per hit base and critical is 32.

The max DPS at middle range is 48.3.

The long range damage per hit base and critical is 25.

The max DPS at long range is 37.7.

The splash damage is 15 at all ranges, but it decreases over distance to a minimum of 5.

The ammo in a clip is 8.

The reload time is 1.7 seconds.

The projectile speed is slow.

The weapon is semi-auto.

The bloom is low.

Stuffy flower

Almanac:

If you thought the Stuffy Sunflower was all sunshine and rainbows, well... you'd be right! Luckily, Zombies can't stand sunshine, and they positively despise rainbows

.

110 health.

Uses rainbow sunburst. 40 ammo. Every enemy vanquisehd by this weapon will drop two sundrops that heal any plant who finds them. Stock sunflower damage.

She produces music when firing.

Bfn upgrades: Stuffy Sundrop 2: Create Sundrops at enemy's location by vanquishing them with Sunbeam.

Law pea is highly dependent on personal skill as the speed is determined by your own trigger finger. I like hik when I can actually hit jack squat.

Agent pea can be oppressive if played well. I really like his look though wigh the black leaves acting as hair.

Berry shooters splash damage is a bit much but otherwise he's okay I guess, i mean I never really played him in gw1.

Stuff flower best flower. This is the perfect character to attack while still helping your team. While not as effective as vampire her self healing from sundrops can keep her in the fight much longer.

Reducing her to an upgrade seems cruel tbh.

  • Law Pea is not easy to use, even with KB+M, although someone good with him while using a controller is very impressive. I get mixed results with him, but love the idea. A later variant from GW as he was added in the Zomboss Down DLC.

Agent Pea got nerfed in GW's heyday since he was so good, and his lower health carried over to GW2. He's still good, and like Law Pea is a terror in the hands of someone with great aim, but he's not oppressive like some characters are.

Berry Shooter got nerfed not too long after his release in GW and like the other marketing tie-in characters, didn't come forward to GW2. Not one I played much, and decent after the nerf instead of being a kind of secondary toxic pea for GW's meta.

Stuffy Flower is my second favorite flower for boss hunts (Vampire my favorite Sunflower in general and favorite for Ops). Her starbursts are amazing against enemies that get in your face as they are defeated and their stars are right there. Great looking character with great sound effects.

I don't use that upgrade in BfN, but it definitely has its uses. The BfN Sunflower in general reminds me a lot of Stuffy for various reasons.

@Iron_Guard8 Law pea and agent pea are definetly two characters who have player skill factor in to how effective they are.

Berry shooter was one i never used much but gw2 replaced him with rock pea who imo is a more interesting character as he keeps the splash but adds on the armor bonus.

Bfn legit ripped everything from sound effects to damage numbers from stuffy for sunflower and it feels out of place due to the mechanics.
  • Time to start covering the final variants that did not really belong in any other categories I see!

    Peashooters and Sunflowers

Law Pea: The Law Pea deals 13-22 damage or 15-26 critical damage, which varies based on distance from you and enemy. The Law Pea will shoot as fast as you can press the trigger, meaning if you have a fast trigger finger, you can have a high amount of damage per second. However, he has no splash damage and only has 6 maximum ammo (instead of 10 by default). There is no way to improve his maximum ammo, and he will gain different upgrades instead. You may find the Damage or Reload upgrade to be useful for Law Pea!

Agent Pea: The Agent Pea deals 10-15 damage or 20-30 critical damage, which varies based on distance from you and enemy. The Agent Pea deals double critical damage, or double damage every time he lands a critical hit. He has 12 maximum ammo (instead of 10 by default). He has a higher attack speed and reloads faster, however he has no splash damage and only has 100 health (instead of the default 125). Ensure to aim for critical hits as you will deal double damage. You may find the Damage or Zoom upgrade to be useful for Agent Pea!

Stuffy Flower: The Stuffy flower deals exactly the same damage as the regular Sunflower, and every enemy that you vanquish will drop sundrops at their location, which will heal any ally that goes near your sundrops. This is great for healing your allies from far distances or giving yourself some quick healing during a fight. She only has 40 maximum ammo (instead of 50 by default). You may find the Damage or Health upgrade to be useful for Stuffy Flower!

Berry Shooter sounds fun but annoying to fight as well by the way!

    Peashooters and Sunflowers - check!
