Garden ops Wave 8 bug
Wave 8, frosty snow level as Zombies. Wave would be stuck at one enemy remaining and it would never spawn/finish. Dying and using a team restart just repeated the problem again. Had to quit.

I had this problem several times too, with 3 different special waves: vases, save the champion and popsmarts. I hope they fix it soon.
Wave 8 is still bugged even in this version. I just came across the spawn bug again. I took a screenshot.
Surprisingly this time the team committed suicide and it fixed the bug with a team retry.
And i just had it again. In Ops in Wave 8. Again after a Checkpoint Race.
After the entire team went for suicide it fixed itself.
I've been seeing more reports of this bug lately. It hasn't happened to me for quite some time, What you did was the only known fix. I recently found an old post on reddit where an ex-EA employee sheepishly took credit for the bug. It's got something to do with the code that counts the enemies.
