Garden warfare shows up as UNKNOWN GAME in origin (R & D mode)

R&D mode does not effect any of those things; it displays R&D mode for me and I'm not experiencing any of the things you've listed.

You're unable to invite anyone to game because the Origin Overlay does not come up. Perhaps you disabled it?

Origin>Application Settings> Origin In Game> Check the box

Also in its current state, it may actually be a blessing that you cant hear anyone in game.

Where did you buy the game key from?

R & D mode is research and development mode. Probably since Origin has not been updated to show this game as the actual name of it yet.

Main conclusion should be that R&D mode is for developers.

You can't expect Origin / Origin games to get to work if you use it. You also can't expect any support.

That being said, if advices in here actually makes it work, great! But don't blame EA or anyone else that "I have to fix your game".

EDIT: Please restart Origin, and reboot the game, then do the following if the issue still occurs.

Playing Unknown Game [R&D Mode]

Please do the following:

- Run the game

- Close the game

- On Origin Client, select 'Help'

- Select 'Origin Error Reporter'

Type of Error: My Account/Profile

Description: Something along the lines of "R&D mode appearing for Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare"

This will provide the Origin Team the information required to get this resolved for you.
