Gnome Bomb: Tactical team up
I was expecting a new team up: Rose-Citron vs Goat-All Stars on Gnome bomb, but they repeat the old team up. Anyway, I take it, since I was having blast last time with this team up, I leveled up all...
This is one of my few beefs with GW 1 & 2. They auto-switched you in TF2 when one team had too much of an advantage. Yes it was very annoying when you were one of the ones pushing that flag capture and suddenly you're defending the thing but at least it kept extremely lopsided battles from occurring.
I don't mind team switching when the teams are equal or close but I have seen it where the numbers were serious off kilter and that's no fun from any angle.
Automatic Team switching in the middle of the game ?? Never happen to me.

Usually at the beginning of the game, if they're team group of 2-4 players so server tries to keep them in the same team, but if there's few players switch almost at same time, it got allowed, and dynamic become imbalance, until new player join to balance it out.
What Iron Guard means by TF2 is probably Team Fortress 2, a fun game that's really similar to Garden Warfare when it comes to classes and objectives. In there, when a lobby was lopsided of more players on one team than another, I think the top performing player was switched over automatically.
It sure was annoying if it happened to you, but I thought it was effective in keeping the life of the game going.
Gnome bomb sounds okay. Although getting tackled or rolled over when defusing doesn't.

Team Fortress 2 indeed! Yes it would always strive to balance the teams so if your team was doing well and a bunch of the opposing team left you tried hard not to die since that's when the game would auto-switch your team. GW needs this as well. Last night there was a match where we were down 3 people and 6-3 isn't exactly a fun matchup.
@asukojo It does try to keep groups together and I'm cool with that since I often duo up with a friend. I'm talking about how people will switch to a team either at start or later when their side is losing and produce very skewed sides. The fuller the match the less this matters but in midlevels of players it can be a major pain. TF2 (Team Fortress 2) fixed that automatically which id why I brought it up as the games have many similarities, it would be a big help in GW even if it can be obnoxious when it happens to you, at least it's less frustrating to play such matches.
Like most of these portal events, I find them alternately fun and agonizing. I can only take doing one or two matches at a go.
I just had a fun match where I almost topped the lobby as the only sunflower in the game and also came up with heal master. I had almost forgotten what a monster shadow flower is. I'm used to using vampire flower, but with all these all stars she's not that viable. Metal petal is probably the best choice for this game, but the DPS is just so dreadful.
Simply Explode is simply the worst crazy setting in this entire game. I don't know what they're thinking when one of only four choices is scientist.
It's pretty common in gnome bomb in general and in this portal in particular for players to completely ignore the pot and bot locations. Using them can make a huge difference. It's pretty hard to defuse a bomb when you've just been hit by an ice shroom or Mr. Freezy.
