Graveyard Ops Challenges - Weirding Woods!

Greetings everyone,

In this thread I will be giving my own personal tips for completing the Graveyard Ops quests that are available in Weirding Woods successfully. The Ops is located in Z-Tech Factory near the trees located near the edge of the map. This guide I am providing will cover the characters you need to complete Graveyard Ops for rewards, general tips for survival, and ways in which you should use your character abilities. The rewards you can get for completing these challenges include Coins and Marshmallows, which you earn by completing the Ops as 3 specific characters. There is also a medal available in Weirding Woods where you must complete a full game of Ops without being vanquished at all, which I will go through as well. To get these rewards, you will need to complete Ops as the following characters, not necessarily in order: Engineer, Captain Deadbeard and Super Brainz. Claim your rewards by talking to Monkey after completing Ops as each of those characters, just make sure you do them in order.

Completing the Ops

To obtain your rewards, complete Ops as 3 specific characters once or more each: Engineer, Captain Deadbeard and Super Brainz, not necessarily in order. Talk to Monkey, which is the Foot Solider located at the Ops base, to find out which character he wants you to play as, and then complete and win a game of Ops as that character. After you do so, repeat this 2 more times and then talk to him again, then he will give you your coins and marshmallows. You can complete Graveyard Ops a limitless amount of times, as any character at any time, but if you do, you will not gain any rewards for it, apart from the regular rewards you would obtain anyway.

General Ops Tips

Take advantage of your Bots that you are able to place - do this by considering which ones you place and in which location you place them! For instance, your Dr. Heals is probably best placed near your Graveyard, so you can constantly heal while protecting your Graveyard. Or in a place where it's unlikely for plants to come and vanquish it unprotected. You may want to place an Electro Bot and some close-range Bots near your Graveyard, and place some ranged ones further away to take out some approaching enemies.

Whenever you can, stay near the Graveyard so you can protect it and your Bots. Although, that said, when a wave starts, you may want to go out and vanquish some enemies. Then after you do, head straight back to the Graveyard. If you do, you'll have less enemies to deal with later on.

Make sure you use the abilites and attacks of your characters to your advantage, by doing this, you will be less likely to be vanquished and/or lose the game of Ops. If you are specifically trying to complete your challenges, talk to Monkey and he will tell you what character he wants you to play as, then go and complete a game of Ops as that character.

Trying Not to Get Vanquished During Ops for the Medal

  • Use your Dr. Heals bot to your advantage, it gives you continuous healing when you are close to it, place it near the Graveyard or where it is less likely to be destroyed. If you do, you reduce your chances of being vanquished. There is a cooldown before you can place another one, so place it as early as possible and consider its location.
  • Monitor your health frequently and retreat if you need to, perhaps to your Dr. Heals.
  • Keep away from the edge of the map. You know what could happen.
  • Make good use of Bots, they will help defend the Graveyard at all times.
  • Consider upgrades that reduce your chances of being vanquished or that make you more durable.

Completing it as Engineer!

  • Use your Primary attack to deal with closely clustered enemies or enemies that are fast approaching the Graveyard.
  • Use your Bullhorn Swarm to stun enemies that get close to you or your Graveyard, making it easier to vanquish them.
  • Use your Heavy Helper to gain extra firepower and attack faster, also best placed at the Graveyard.
  • Use your Double Time to rush attack enemies, head back to the Graveyard or retreat.

Completing it as Captain Deadbeard!

  • Use your Primary attack on enemies near you or the Graveyard.
  • Use your Secondary charge-up attack on enemies further away or if there are no enemies nearby, or if you're trying to heal.
  • Use your Barrel Blast to destroy clusters of enemies, especially if near the Graveyard, or to retreat.
  • Use your Parrot Pal in a safe location, if you're trying to heal this is a good opportunity to use the Parrot. Use it to deal as much damage as you can to enemies.
  • Use your Anchor's Away to finish off enemies, move closer to enemies, move away from enemies, move around or retreat.

Completing it as Super Brainz!

  • Use your Primary attack to punch enemies close to you or the Graveyard.
  • Use your Charge-up Primary attack to damage enemies further away from you.
  • Use your Alpha Better Shield to shield yourself and the garden, especially if you are on low health and are trying to heal.
  • Use your Turbo Twister on clusters of enemies close to you, including if near the Graveyard.
  • Use your Hyper Jump Thump to damage clusters of enemies, move away from enemies, retreat or close the distance between enemies.
  • Use your Super Ultra Ball against high-health targets or enemies that are really far from you, Super Brainz has limited range apart from this ability.

So, what to take away with all the tips? Consider your bots and their placements, as well as which ones you use, try your best to remain unvanquished and consider which situations are best for when you use your abilites. By doing this, you should have no trouble getting that medal and getting the rewards from Monkey. Remember to talk to him after completing all of your challenges to claim your rewards.

Well, I hope this guide was at least helpful to some, so farewell!
Regards
