Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Get vanquished by a zombie in multiplayer and look at their health bar at the top right and their background color is green instead of purple
Which character were you playing when the bug occurred? Night Cap
What upgrades had you equipped with this character? Doesn't matter
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)

@1GrainZ1 This bug has been in the game for quite some time now. Hopefully the developers will fix this because this might confuse newer players on which side they're on.
