Guide of trajectory for thrown abilities?

A guide of trajectory is the path of the ability will follow when used. The path will look similar to Captain's Deadbeard's  'Anchor Away' when choosing the destination.

These abilities should have a guide for trajectory when thrown:

  • Grody Goop?
  • Butter Beacon
  • Casting Shadows
  • Sap Trap/Super Sap Trap
  • Super Stink Cloud
  • Gravity Grenade
  • Sticky Healy Thing
  • Bullhorn Swarm
  • Zee-lixir

To view the path, press and hold the button for which you would use the ability. To throw it, let go of the button

You may have noticed I haven't mentioned abilities that don't activate upon hitting a surface such as Bean Bomb and Imp Punt.

Some may say this makes these abilities too easy to use. Others would say that they want the ability to be thrown instantly. I thought of this because the trajectory on abilities are so different with each character. I know this will probably never be added let know of your opinion.

  • @DeliciousSamosa I think it would be a nice QoL change to have for all throwable projectile abilities. Hold the button, aim the throw arc, & release. I don't think that this change would cause a major imbalance of some kind.
  • @DeliciousSamosa they should implement a similar mechanic with spikeweed.
    tapping the spikeweed button immediately deploys the spikeweed at chomper's feet. holding the spikeweed button launch it. the longer you hold the button the further the spikeweed can be launched (kinda like how bows work in fantasy games or overwatch)
