GW2 Crashing

Hi All -

We are having a problem with GW2 (Standard edition)crashing intermittently.  My son can sometimes play for a while until the crash, but the system crashes at random points in the game.  The game always gets past initial load but has crashed as early as "Connecting to EA servers".  He got about an hour of play once in many attempts.  One common crash point is "the customization booth".

The form of the crash is

1) Game freeze for a few seconds

2) Black Screen

3) Windows popup saying "pvz garden warfare 2 has stopped working"

We are using a Dell Laptop, Windows 10, 64 bit ( fairly new ).   I have tried updating the video card drivers, repair the game, uninstall/reinstall and disabling "Origin In-game something" as suggested in another post here.

PVZ Garden warfare 1 does continue to work on this machine.

We would be grateful for any assistance.

 Dxdiag report is attached.

You have attempted to ignore the system requirements, and you got away with it on the older game, with its less demanding graphics.  This game, same as the prior, is not supported for an IGP device masquerading as a real graphics product.

           Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-5200U CPU @ 2.20GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.2GHz
    ---------------
    Display Devices
    ---------------
Chip name: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500
           Manufacturer: Intel Corporation
Chip type: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
      Driver Attributes: Final Retail
       Driver Date/Size: 8/31/2015 12:00:00 AM, 36303760 bytes
            WHQL Logo'd: Yes

That driver is ancient, but is of no consequence.  The slowness of the CPU does add to the problem.

    MINIMUM
    OS: Windows 7 64-bit/ Windows 8.1 64-bit/ Windows 10 64-bit
    CPU: 3.20 GHz Intel i5 650/ 2.5 GHz AMD Phenom X4 9850
RAM: At least 4GB for Windows 7/ Windows 8.1/ Windows 10
    Hard Drive: 20 GB
Video: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640/ AMD Radeon HD 5750
    DirectX: 11
Input: Keyboard and Mouse, Analogue Controller
Online Connection Requirements: 192 KBPS or faster internet connection

Tried everything I can think of and still randomly crashing, usually at the wost times like right in the middle of a quest and I am almost complete. This must be one really intense game graphics wise since I am looking at now scrapping my 4 yr old PC to buy a new one for about $900. Guess my 6 core PC is not good enough after all.  Sadly it will be about a month before I will be able to upgrade my computer ☹️

It is not you computer but bad code of the game.
I have 2 pc's with the same Radeon HD 5750 graphics card and one works and the other not.
On the pc wich has windows 7 installed and has 2900mhz dual core AMD Athlon it works perfect.
With some little stutter and bit long loading time wich is logical because cpu is under min system rec but i can play the game on it.
The pc that where game is constant crashing is running on a triple core 3000mhz amd athlon.
Have latest drivers and updates but game wil keep having red artifects and freez whole pc with showing a error box wich says directx is stoped because of removed graphics card or upgrade taking place.
Hope they make it work on my windows 10 pc and optimize better for pc.

In your case, you have not met the CPU requirements.
