GW2 multiplayer accounts saving characters and stickers

I am playing garden warfare 2 with my son but on my xboxone and on my account. We want him to have his own characters and stickers but he couldn’t as a guest. I have made him his own Xbox profile and ea access. Do I need to pay for a gold live account for him to save his in game rewards? Please help as I don’t know what to do!
