Halloween Event

I know it will have just released prior to Halloween on Oct 18, so it's unlikely, but I really hope they do a Halloween event this year in BFN. In GW2 they usually do a small event where you can get some seasonal costumes and there's a Squash hunt, but I've always wished PvZ would pull out all the stops for Halloween. Given the slightly creepy nature of zombies, it really lends itself to the holiday.

Does anybody else feel this way?

What would you like to see them do, if they were to do a Halloween extravaganza this year?

  • @newbebop Already confirmed to be happening. Comes out during Week 5 of founders edition, Oct 1, lawn of doom festival. Giddy park is getting a halloween makeover and we are getting a halloween themed ‘battle pass’ with exclusive halloween cosmetics.

Ooooo sounds like fun. Do you know anything about the battle pass? Do we have to pay real money to get the premium stuff like how battle passes usually work? Or will there be another currency in-game that is premium stuff?

  • @arit0824free, potentially there may be some paid-only higher quality cosmetics but thats just speculation on my part based off what was said in a recent interview.

rainbow stars are going to be the premium currency, primarily used to buy things from rux but can be also used to level up your battle pass faster, just like every other battle pass.

so it sounds similar to how other battle passes work but i dont think there will be a premium track just the free standard track for everyone with maybe rux selling some unique items 🤷🏼‍♂️

Based off interviews it isnt just a straight linear progression either like other BPs apparently its got multiple branching paths which they compared to how a skill tree operates. So i dont know if once you choose a route you are locked out of the other choices or not. We’ll have to wait and see

  • @newbebopHeres one interview by eurogamer taken at gamescom a couple weeks ago. They speak a bit in detail about how its going to work a couple paragraphs down.

    https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.eurogamer.net/amp/2019-09-04-surprise-plants-vs-zombies-battle-for-neighborville-available-in-paid-early-access

If you watched last weeks live stream the devs also briefly confirmed that they are doing a battle pass system which they are calling ‘festival trees’ but are saying nothing more about it until a later date. Such a tease

@RockScorpion384 Thank you! I appreciate it. Although I don’t mind paying $5 or $10 for a premium track, I would obviously rather playing a whole lot and getting everything
