- @pandareno1999 5 years!! Thats a really long time.
I only startyed playing in 2017 but eversince played almost every day and still have fun.
Love this game and i hope a real follow up like GW3 wil be made soon.
Or a bundle for PS5 with both the games would be fine too ๐ - Iron_Guard84 years agoLegend
@pandareno1999 3500?! Nice! I have 2600 myself.
The first GW game is great. The original reason I even have origin on my PC is to play it! I'm a pretty big shooter fan barring certain exceptions, but GW combined a fun, silly shooter with one of my favorite IPs of all time; Plants vs. Zombies. I have only 314 hours there as the population started dwindling and of course GW2 released only 2 years after the first game.
When they announced GW2 I had to get it! More PvZ shooter goodness with more classes and variants? Sign me up! It had a rocky start (remember the days of the 'Rose plague', the capture points bugging out, and 50 health Imps?), but it's so good. I stopped playing WoT, tuned down my TF2 play and eventually even though it launched after GW2, stopped bothering with OW altogether.
When BfN came out, my GW2 play did slow, but once I got done with the free roam zones in that game my GW2 time shot up again and am back to doing all the quests, all the time.
I hope that in the near future we can get a return to the brilliance of GW2 in a new PvZ shooter, as while I do find fun in all 3, GW2 hit that sweet spot where the PvE is fun but so is the PvP, GW1 and BfN just lack in one way or another compared to GW2. GW2 is in my top 10 games of all time and that goes back to classics like Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Missile Command! Until then, GW2 is doing well, even on PC where the population isn't as big as on console (hackers are not helping here), which says a lot about the game. It's well loved for a reason!

i have 2469 hours, but have in mind i started it March 2018, so that means i'm playing everyday almost 3 years now ๐ - Iron_Guard84 years agoLegend
@AceB011 seconded on no cheaters! Such a great game; win or lose, when we don't have to deal with people summoning gargantuars or sunflower queens and ruining things for people. New players are going to be really confused when they see it!

@Iron_Guard8not just that, they're getting more and more weird combinations of characters using, which lead me to think why the GW2 is so easy to be cheated ? 2 days ago i saw Captain Cannon cheater who used the Corn ability Butter Barrage like spamming tons of it (which i made clip, i should upload it on YT), like a rain dropped all over the map and of course vanquishing every plant.. then i saw Dj Uplink that can be played, he used it for short and then the whole lobby crashed, some cheaters knows how to crash entire game for every player, they even are brag about their ability to crash the entire game for everyone, everyday more weird combination of character with more weird abilities you'd met, which is very sad.. more sad EA/Popcap aren't doing a thing, one cheater with short player name BM4 some might recognize who's is being cheating like 3 months now, everyday report ? nah nothing no results, even my friends are reporting him.. the game is brilliant, but with this cheaters i think is noting to end shining

@AceB011 I was just using those as examples. I have seen a foot solider use rainbow warp, a Super Brainz use their beam infinitely, and so on. If they would just reign these people in, the game would be even more popular on PC than it is now, and it's definitely seeing a resurgence.
One thing that BfN has done right, I've never seen a hacker there. When we get a new PvZ shooter, I want it to be more like GW2 and GW1 than BfN, but they've got to take care of these cheaters!

Remember these?
I'm thankfully a console player, but do on occasion (as last night) experience people shooting from underneath the deck in the final stage of Moon Base Z, and from an area close to the far entrance of the raised metal covered building in Z-tech factory, and have always wondered what is in it for the hacker, as it's a damned nuisance (It could of course be a glitch in the program, but it seems too much of a coincidence?).
The only thing I can come up with, is that the behaviour must tend towards the psychotic, as the hacker obviously enters a form of "God mode" by obtaining all possible equipment and unnatural skills, thereby acquiring unlimited power, while completely insensitive to other players pleasure and enjoyment of the game. There is seemingly some sort of compensatory mechanism at play here.
They are a pain and I feel for you PC gamers in particular.
