Help! How do i get split screen co-op to work on ps4?

I used to be able to let a second person join using a guest account. Does this no longer work?!?! I've even tried creating a second psn account to invite, however, it still won't allow that account to join without purchasing a psn online plan. I pretty much bought this game for my son to play split screen with me bc garden warfare two had this feature baked in.

    Creating a second account does work, but make for sure the main account with PS4+ is the primary account. On your PS4 Select (Settings) > [Account Management] > [Activate as Your Primary PS4] Anyone who uses your primary PS4™ system can enjoy the benefits of your PlayStation®Plus subscription.

    This is how I play with my friend on split screen when only the primary account has the PS4+. Hope this helps🙂

    Once the 2nd controller is powered up and logged into the ps4 you will see a prompt  appear   press square to join.
