How do I remove ads in PvZ1?

How do I remove ads in PvZ1 ?

This is a premium game; I paid for it. Now it has unstoppable ads, many with no close button.
Some open the ad store on their own (Disney Sorcerers, Age of Z) and when I come back to the game it's frozen and I can't play.

Literally unplayable. What happened?

  • I am on an andriod phone and I am also having this problem. I paid $2.99 to remove ads in game but they keep playing. Love the game but want the ad free version I paid for. I requested a refund from google play and was denied.

This is starting to feel like my money was stolen. With the amount of people that I see this has happened to if this isn't fixed I don't see how this is anything other than predatory and fraudulent.

Just so everyone can see what EA are saying about this issue. It's absolutely disgusting what EA are doing. They are taking everyone's money and not giving them what they were paying for.

For background I raised a ticket with them as I was still getting ads despite paying to remove the ads. They know it's an issue and they know that you will still see ads, but do nothing about it... and keep taking your money. They will never fix this issue... now trying to get a refund but I don't see much happening. This is disgusting behaviour from this company. They are knowingly stealing your money. It may only be $4 but it's the principal they they know it's a bug but will not fix it... but will continue to take peoples money.

@zombimonki It is very much predatory and stealing. I have a screenshot of an email from EA admitting that they know it's an issue and will not fix it. They admit to knowing that even if you pay to remove ads, you will still receive ads. How can we rake this further? Where can we go to get EA to stop this? They are likely taking thousands of dollars a week from people and yet do nothing. I have the proof, I just want to know where I can send it to get them to stop. They don't seem to be listening in the support emails.
  • I emailed EA support twice, and even went through a live chat, and each time they told me to talk to Google as there is "nothing they can do" on their end. However in the Play Store help section, it says any issues with in-app purchases must be addressed by the app developer. What an absolute joke.

Side note the first email I received made no sense no whatsoever. I'll attach it for your reading pleasure.

  • Isn't there a way if enough of us got together that we could Sue them?!

  • I had the exact same thing happen to me. Google Play said contact the developer. I wrote to EA they told me to contact Google. Wrote to Google and they told me a refund was not permitted by their policy, but they didn't specify which one. If it is the 48-hr one, that was definitely taken up waiting for EA to get back to me. This has to be a Consumer Protection suit waiting to happen. I'm pretty mad about the $3.18 stolen from me, but its really about principle! How much money did they make off this scam? Shame on you Google!

4 years since anyone posted. Has EA fixed this issue? I am having the same problems and have reached out but haven’t heard anything…maybe there is a work around? I loved the game before but now with the ads is unbearable :(
