im up to 553 cards at the moment. 14 of these cards i could recycle but im saving them until the next update just in case they increase in rarity and i can recycle them for more than they are worth n...

Recently I have 633 plants and 621 zombies. I also have a couple of thousand sparks which I always think which cards should I change them to.
@patdk75 In Season 1 I completed some decks with gems, so I did get a few Event cards that way. I crafted some of the cards that got bumped up in rarity before the change like MuG and Valk.

- @BPRDHB you're one of the lucky ones then that crafted beforehand. I had 4 valkrie and actually recycled one at that time(when I recycled close to 60% of my collection to craft some legendary zombies)
I just this week crafted two nurse gargs and it took me so long to do it because I kept thinking that I should have all 4 of both nurse and mixedup gravedigger for the same amount of sparks as it cost me for 2.
When I started crafting hardcore, what I decided was to go from bottom up. Rares I never bothered with since eventually it will drop.
Superrare and event cards that are down to final price(1000 not 2000 gems) were the first cards for me to craft. And I would usually do 3 or the full set, unless I know that I will never have that many in a deck. Like shamrocket for example. I have 2 and that is good enough for me. If I need all four in a game that probably won't be a long game.
Now I dabble with cards(mostly plants now) that I want but don't have. And there's plenty of event cards even if I don't think that all of them are greatI guess I've been playing for about a year.
I have 5472 plant cards and 5416 zombie cards. I've never spent any money on the game and I've never crafted a card (or recycled a card) except for the hero quests of course.
My collecting strategy has been to build up gems and then buy 10-packs (or 60 packs back in the day when that wasn't a cash only thing) and then when I have nearly 4 copies of every legendary to use gems to get the legendary or event cards I'm missing by using the "complete strategy deck" option. I've often completed strategy decks I have no interest in using just to get the cards and sometimes even if I don't really want the cards (Hippity Hop Gargantuar, ick) because I like collecting.
This is a lot harder to do today with ad views worth less and 60 packs not available...
- @Belanar out of curiosity, since you have not recycled any cards, are you hoping that they implement trading like a couple of the other guys on here or you just like collecting?
Also, since you have all your cards, are there any legendary you have pulled way more than normal?
I'm kinda opposite of you, as I have spent coin on the game and I recycle probably more than I should've(if I'm honest I definitely have) but I have no regrets about it.
One thing that I have noticed though, is the unbalanced drop rate of legendary cards. I have said before that I have pulled 16 total bananasaurus so far which translated into 12000 sparks or 3 whole useable legendary.
There's some I still have never seen, and even some old superrare that got boosted to legendary like Brainana I have only one and got it after the rarity change.
It is not really all that important, but I am curious about how your drops have been.
On another note, if nothing else when the next expansion is released you have a bunch of sparks waiting on you if you wish
