Garden Ops has a maximum of four people (5 if you're on Xbox One with a smart glass device), there is no way to play with more.
Only way to get that amount of people into a game would be to create a party and use party matchmaking for one of the competitive mode playlists. When a person selects 'Join Game with Party' they will join and the rest will get invited.
