How to fix grody goop

Grody goop is an ability for chomper that deals 45 initial damage and 4 tick damage until its duration runs out, or the player dies. A way to fix this ability would be to allow health regeneration while grody goop is damaging you, this would help low health characters such as the imp to survive the ability.

  • @GodlyGamerBEAST Another way that Grody Goop can be adjusted is to either 1) reduce the tick damage to two or 2) keep the four tick damage, but reduce the # of ticks to seven (I believe it's fifteen ticks right now). I wish that Scientist's healing abilities wouldn't negate Grody Groop's effects when you're inside the toxic cloud.

Currently, health regen occurs when you don't take damage for a continuous period of time or a sunflower/scientist heals you with their abilities.
  • Honestly it was fine pre-buff, a bit of initial damage to soften enemies and a long weak DoT to prevent health regen but now its like this ability is meant to kill anyone with mediocre health when it was originally a debuff and softener. Also, an issue that I'm concerned with that no one's mentioned is that goop spreads from vanquished zombies and I feel like that should be removed as to not punish people who just want revive points.

  • I think health regeneration while the effect of goop os active is not the solution, it would make the effect useless. I think this ability is the best used to stop health regeneration. That's why the damange per second should be 1, just enough to stop you from gaining health. Right now I think this ability is overpowered because it kill (dealing more than 100 damage).

Things I would change to rebalance this ability:

    -keep the 45 damage

-reduce the damange per second to 1 again

-make so it dosen't kill (leave opponent with 15 hp)

I bealive this way the ability would be more focused on weakening zombies rather than killing them.

@Positronic-Rift Scientist's Heal Hose should reduce the damage you take from it & make it harder to spread while Sticky Healy Thingy should eradicate it entirely.
In short, I think it should focus more on weakening mobility than dealing damage.

If you're saying the first sentence in respect to being inside Grody Goop's toxic cloud, then I respectfully disagree. Look at the following video:

The video was published before the May 2020 patch buffing Grody Goop's initial damage & tick damage, but its functionality is essentially the same. There's a noticeable delay before both initial damage & tick damage applies, which is strange to me considering that BFN Chomper is less cheesy than GW2 Chomper. Being able to heal inside the toxic cloud and eradicate its effects would butcher the ability. To be clear, if the zombie is out of the toxic cloud's range then Grody Goop should be dispelled by healing.

That video was interesting. I hate goop now but that video is also silly.

@CharlesHlcBendel A lot. Lol you can do the same thing at the beginning of peachy district. Shoot the goop in the front of the middle spawn as they come out, and you can get a bunch of kills at the beginning of the game.
