How to get pvzgw to work without Xbox live?

My 9year old son got an Xbox one and wants to play pvzgw however it forced us to open an ea access account and now wants us to pay for live. My son has no use for this yet, his 9year old friends all have 360. All he wants to do is play the game but I cant see paying money each month until he is going to use it. They do not make pvzgw for wii u and he has Pvz for the Ds. He just wants to play. How do I get around this option.

  • Well, you could always get the game for PC if you don't wanna pay monthly. There's little to no difference between the PC and Xbox One version other than the PC version having a slightly higher chance of encountering those that use hacks to ruin gameplay experience for those around them - Don't quote me on that though.

Other than buying it for PC, there's no other way to get around paying some kind of fee monthly.

Thank you for your help I really appreciate it I will probably pay the money it just frustrates me that you are trapped into giving money for something that for a 9 year old just starting out should be fun to play and not pay I understand as they get older. Just frustrating. Thanks again
  • On Xbox One without an Xbox Live gold account, the only game mode available is Splitscreen.

EA Access has a monthly fee as it allows players to play multiple titles for free along with other perks. Garden Warfare itself does require an Xbox Live gold account as it is an online shooter. There is no single player/offline mode, players will always be using the Xbox Live services while playing this game. The game by itself is about 20 I believe.
