how to switch region?

Just activate the GnomeOS Portal Machine thing and there should be an option to switch servers.

This is about gw1 so there is no region, just the start menu. I also have this problem because I live in australia, but I think you might be able to get around it by joining the game of someone who is not in Australia.

When you go to the multiplayer portal bit... open the menu to start a game and there is an option at the bottom to 'select region'... just click that and choose the region you want... it will tell you the ping too.
