I cant launch Plants vs Zombies Battle for neighborville

when i try to launch Plants vs Zombies Battler for Neighborville, the game wont start and i get crash report handler window that says:

The application has encountered an unexpected error.

and it creates a memory dump. this is what it says:

Dumping started...
Dumping finished. File:
C:\ProgramData\eaanticheat\Crashdumps\PACKER_3429265_5876.dmp
Finished.

and it seems that everything i try wont work. pleas help.

  • Hey guys, I found a solution that worked for me and some others. This was originally shared over at Crash Report Handle EA Anticheat :: Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville General Discussions

I found a solution, I had to download
EA anticheat from the EA page

    1. Download EA anticheat
    2. Open it and choose the game "Plant vs Zombies Battle for Neighborville"
    3. Click on the repair button and select the folder where the game is installed
    4. Wait for the repair process to finish
    5. Done

I really hope this helps others who might be running into the same error!

This totally worked for me, however, here is something that needs to be pointed out. Initially, when I downloaded the anti-cheat installer I selected the game and just clicked install. That did not fix my issue but after re-reading the instructions carefully, the instructions say to use the repair option and then select where the game is installed, after doing that, it fixed my issue.

Also update the files after you repair the file and that should do the trick to help you launch the game. Got the game three days back through and had similar issue with the game

Check your launcher to get the location of the game you installed

Can you all just delete the file called "cryptbase.dll" in the game's folder and be done with it already?
