Solved

I died now the key is gone.

So I saved up all my gold stars to get the gold key from the seagull at town Hall. After I got it I went to the sewers to open the big door. On my way down, I fell into an area that killed me, then I tried to respawn, and the key was GONE! So now all of my gold stars are gone, so I can't but another golden key.

    Thanks, I restarted my game a couple times and it's back. Sorry for wasting your time.

    Oh NO!  I've never heard if that happening.  Losing 25 stars is one thing, but not being able to access the trials is obviously a big problem.  I will tag a couple EA folks here and hopefully one of them can tell you what direction to take from here.

    so the same thing happened to me, and i restarded the game a couple times just like the other guy(or girl) said and didn't get my stars back.
