Iceberg Lettuce

So I necessarily want to say that I love PVZ BFN and it's one of the best games I've ever had. In addition, the news of the last update did not discourage me, in fact I found it very positive since it has updates and new content for an entire year. However the main purpose of this topic is to express that today my real feeling for this game is that something is still missing and that something that is missing is the addition of a new plant character. Thinking of a new character, the immediate indication that appears is precisely Iceberg Lettuce, which was already in development and well advanced in this sense, I even find his primary weapon very interesting, since there is no plant with this type of weapon (dispersion weapon) , about the skills Back Dash (pepper that freezes in the explosion) and Shield Deploy I found very well made and interesting, my only place would be for the Snowball, because in addition to not quite understand how the dynamics of level change would be of the ability during the battle, I think it is very similar to the Wildflower Bloom Boom ability, so as a suggestion for an eventual replacement of this ability I think of something similar to the power used by the Yeti boss, where frozen spines or grasses would appear around the character causing damage between low and medium in the nearby zombies, in addition to preventing them from running for a few seconds, think of a name for skill like Freezing Garden. Remembering that this change is only a suggestion, but as I know the work it would be to develop a new skill, as well as related improvements, I believe that at this moment all I want to provide is the addition of this plant as it is currently developed, because I know that this way like me several other players and fans who want this balance and standardization in the number of characters, since today there are 12 zombies and only 11 plants.
Recalling that everything was put in this topic suggestions and are open to changes, but if the game developers could analyze this idea, especially when requesting this new character, I think it would make many people happy with the future of PVZ BFN.

    @GabriHeal I also would love to see Iceburg Lettuce in-game, but EA won't fund further development. One of the devs (EA_PvZ_Mario) said he was proud of the team on twitter and that they wanted to make an awesome game despite the few resources they got. He said they were able to make a great final update, despite the pandemic, and I completely agree.

    @benn1nat0r I understand and send the congratulations to the entire development team, but this feeling that the game needs a last plant character for the game to be complete and balanced in terms of the number of characters on each side will remain, at least for me.

    I forgot to comment earlier also that the fact that I mentioned the Iceberg Lettuce is because I believe it would fit well as a support character, in addition to having weapons and skills that are missing for plants.

    Another point is that her development was well advanced, as can be seen in the videos below made by Germanshu.

    @GabriHeal I have seen all of his videos on Iceburg Lettuce. It really seems like she was nearly finished. The only things missing (as far as I can tell from the video) were sound files and gestures. I want this character to be released so badly, but the team confirmed it won't be released on discord on the same day the discontinuation of content updates was announced.

    I was so hyped for this character from the leaks that I had heard about Ice Lettuce - I still hope that she will still be released at some point. I understand that is unlikely.

    @GabriHeal I'm not on discord, but some other users here reported they said it wasn't going to be released. So I'd also like to thank the people who originally reported it 🙂

    this character has a large possibility of returning for herd by something there is a prize in December and iceberg was close to completion so if they don't add iceberg then there will be one more zombie and in a resent update upgrade files were added leading me to believe iceberg is returning to the game

    @t9mbm7mgzcfd Unfortunately, Iceburg Lettuce will not be released. The prize map is the same as last year. Most of the things they were working on haven't been touched in months, according to some data miners. I believe the game was internally cancelled as far back as June.     In short:

    • Skate 4 was announced in June and the people remaining at the BfN team are now working on that game
    • Executive staff left the company months ago, alongside many other employees, who are now working on other projects
    • Job Listings from early August say the team had already moved on to their next project

    @t9mbm7mgzcfd I really agree with that. It would be super cool if the team could exert and maybe release Ice Lettuce for Christmas, but I don’t think that would happen. It looks like the team has already started working on another project.
