Imps...

This class is a mess, it seems that with this class, there is no perfect balance, they are either terrible or op, and right now they r both at the same time. I love this class to death but it's a nightmare. Mechs honestly ruin games and I hate using them, no one likes them. It is simply unfair to have more than one of these things out at a time. This game would be 10x better if the mechs were scrapped and while that might seem like destroying half a character it's probably saving it. We should completely remove Z-mechs from the game and give standard imp very slight buffs so it "balances" out the loss of the mech even though the mech isn't a necessity for the class. For the sake of this game, please do something about the mechs I hate them and I'm an imp player...

  • what do you mean remove zmech? the imps are more annoying little tanks with a 100% accuracy attack and a no counter gravity gernade. And 3+ each game ruins more than z meches.

    I don't know about removing them entirely (the satisfaction of ripping the mech apart as soon as the clown that is using it calls it in right in front of me is immense), but something needs to be done about them. They are a plague, especially in gnome bomb. I think some sort of rationing system is called for. Say a max limit of three imps (and other characters) per lobby. If all characters have a limit, then it will make for more fun and interesting games of gnome bomb. All we get at the moment is teams full of unskilled players using imps and superbrains. This is now the norm in gnome bomb, and is marring what is for me the best game mode of them all. Oh, and while you're there Popcap, fix the gnome bomb servers! This issue has been around since the previous game, and still you have done nothing to fix it! I am not the only person in the world that wishes to play this game mode, so stop dumping me in a lobby all by myself which no one else ever joins. Fix your game!

    Well why not also fix their forcefield and the spin-around-attack. Because its a 100% death and you cant get away..

    I know Rose has one aswell, but you can atleast move in it.

    Also..I need to ask. Does the mechs also has one of those forcefields? Because ive been draged a loooon way many times towards a mech and that made me wonder if they also has it.

  • I find mechs fairly simple to deal with. They're large targets and almost invariably cause the person using them to have to leave cover in order to fight. Even the close range mechs... it's no worse than if a super brains or scientist gets close up to you. Corn and Citron counter mechs quite effectively. As an Imp player, I am strongly against removing mechs, and even more strongly against buffing the base imp. The base imp is finally in a good place where he can still be fought against, yet not so OP that he destroys all in his path (remember Impkata in the beta? I still shudder), personally, I like the imp right where he is.

    The clownery was calling it down right in front of an enemy and getting vanguished immediately.  There are few things in this game more satisfying than cockblocking a mech call.
