Infinity levels - guide for dummies- please help

I've opened up the infnity levels in the game. Sorry fo being a dummy, but I dont have a clue what I'm doing (and what I need to do). I get it that they are a never ending horde mode.

Could someone explain things like how you stay alive (health regen), replenishing the time meter, killing the big gnomes etc.

Basically explain everything in a concise and chronological order - that would be greatly appreciated.

I'll respond based on your points:

Staying alive (health regeneration): Unfortunately the machines don't have natural regeneration. Infinity mode is about playing smart and conserving your health while killing the waves. In order to do so, you need to kite enemies that deal more damage, and kill small enemies for time shards. Not only are time shards currency that unlock better content after the game is over, but they heal you for 50 health with each set you pick up.

Time: You can not replenish time once a Gnome thing starts to destabilize the time ring. Kill them as fast as possible to avoid destabilization.

Killing the big gnomes (or any large enemy): Make sure that you are kiting the enemies. Since waves are not timed, you can maneuver around the map and get better vantage points to safely attack from far, especially the giga-characters that spawn in the later levels. As for the large gnomes and gnome king, your middle ability does wonders as both the dinosaur and the cat, so a fully charged ability on them should typically clear out a large chunk of their health.

Tips: Try not to waste your stars going into the game mode unless you have a pretty solid team of people going in with you. The only way to guarantee quality unlocks is to reach 25k time shards, which means you have to get to at least wave 25.

Thanks kumax I found this very helpful. It all makes a lot more sense to me now. One last question if I may. You mentioned playing this mode with others. How precisely do you include others in the game mode. I haven't gone back in when I figured you need 5 stars every time. When you start a session is it an option or do you have to be partied up prior or something. Sorry its probably pretty obvious. Also once you are playing with others is it possible for them to resurrect you if you die.

Unfortunately there is no queuing system currently for open play. You need to be partied with friends or find people (as many have been doing here on the boards) to queue up with to gather the best possible rewards.
