I hesitate to attach any sort of percentages or time estimates to the drop rates in GW2 because the RNG responsible for the awards has shown little, if any consistency at all, in drop rates from one player to another based on my reading of various posts online and conversations with actual other players in game.
I've always considered myself to have been lucky with the drop rates, in Infinity Time and elsewhere in the game, but I've known people with absolutely terrible luck. When I first started playing I befriended a player who had quite a bit more time than I had invested in the game at the time and while I experienced regular drops of the Legendary character pieces my friend was repeatedly "ignored" by the random system to the point where they ultimately gave up the game in frustration.
There are two types of rewads in infinity time. There is the low teir and the high teir. you have to get 15k shards to get the low teir (theres like a 25% chance you will get a high teir or lower). Then the high teir (there is like a 10% chance to get coins or lower) The system I use is keep getting 15k or 25k until you get coins 3 times in a row, then switch to the other one to get the rest of the items. Not sure why it works this way but it does. so you cannot just keep doing 15k shards all the time or you will be wasting your time.
