Intel® HD Graphics 520 for Garden Warfare 2

To whom it may concern,

    1. Intel® HD Graphics 520 (Skylake Generation, September 2015) does not meet the minimum GPU requirement - but is it possible to run Garden Warfare 2?
    2. This video showcased a device with Intel® HD Graphics 520 that successfully played the game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra562GSEkkc
    3. Every other requirement (e.g. CPU, RAM) is met in the intended device.
    4. Very low FPS is not a major concern. (20-30 FPS is acceptable
    5. If it is impossible to run Garden Warfare 2 with this GPU, the PS4 version will be considered. However, the PC version is much preferred as in this scenario, the PC game is intended as a gift for an avid PC gamer.

Many thanks.

    1)  Yes

    2) Proof it does, at very low resolution, settings and sub 30fps frame rate

Gorath is right it isn't supported, but it does "run" the game with the latest drivers and tweeks done to the game to play as low as possible.

It seems unusual to me that an avid PC gamer would only have integrated Intel in their rig and not care about sub-30 fps in a shooting game (arguably the most important genre to have decent FPS).

I would not recommend it.  I used to play a little of the first GW1 on an HD4000 in hotel rooms.  It was playable but not great.  I did significantly worse than if I was at home on a gaming computer.

I don't know the player numbers but I'd hazard a guess the PS4 version is much more populated than on PC (guess).

A PS4 will play this game a lot smoother than an Intel 520.

There are (expensive) ways to use a KB/Mouse on PS4.  This is the only reason I'm able to play console games because I cannot use a controller.  Some people consider this "cheating" but to me this is no different than using a racing wheel, fighting stick or flight controller for their respective genres.

Since there is no support for any of Intel's Tinker Toy video chips, they are similarly not supported by the player community here.

I disagree. In a shooter, especially a multiplayer one, low framerates can be a big concern. With such low framerates you're at a competitive disadvantage.

    @steamgames2016, you asked:

Judging from this reply from an experienced user,

since there is "no support", I assume (since I never used such lacking graphics card as the Intel 520), that it will be impossible to even open it, as the program itself do not support it. Would @Gorath_the_Elder please clarify this?

also, I don't think the video is completely legit, as the controls on the abilities are not 1,2,3, but rather LB, etc. I don't think such a device can play such demanding game.

even if it is legit 30fps just won't cut it in a pc game. Especially a multiplayer one.

Doesn't the PC version support the Xbox 360 controller?

Unsupported doesn't mean it won't run. It literally just means EA doesn't support it, probably because they haven't tested it, because it's too slow, or because it lacks the required features. In the latter case, the game may indeed not run at all.
