Is PvZ GW 2 dead in 2021?

Idk it's kinda hard to play on europe servers

  • @Darkox29 What platform are you on? Sometimes I think lobbies for normal modes are a bit quieter while the Mystery Portal is active in the Town Hall because many players are desperate to grind for rainbow stars while it's open, as there's only one event a month now.

Otherwise, I find European servers for Xbox don't normally have any problems. I find full lobbies in most of the modes throughout the day & evening - it only usually goes quiet late at night but if I want a game then, I switch to the American servers & can usually play there without significant lag, despite the higher ping.

  • I suppose it depends on what platform you play on and what time you play on. The game does still seem quite populated and it is quite easy to find matches on my Xbox console in Australia region. Perhaps change regions or try at different times if your are struggling to find matches.

  • It might be a problem when on PC , but I am in Europe on XBOX (and occasionally on PS4) and - admittedly - very seldom play anything else other than Mixed Mode, but there are at least 10 a side no matter what time of the day I choose to play…barring from about 12am and onwards, until approx.7am.

As Jet_7227 wrote, when people start to leave late in the evening I transfer to the US East Coast server and find it just as busy as before BfN was ever thought of.

@PerniciousPea Yes, good point about the modes. Turf, Mixed & Town Hall are always busy for me but I'd guess the individual small modes for Vanquish Confirmed etc are generally quiet & Ops has always been hit & miss as most players go in with friends or play solo.
Team Vanquish might be ok - it's always been popular & is the one mode other than Gardens & Graveyards that I can still consistently find lobbies for in GW1.

If players are wanting to do challenges from the Backyard quest board & struggling to find lobbies in the small modes, I'd recommend taking all of the small mode quests available at the same time & playing Mixed Mode - or simply changing to Solo Play & having some fun with the Crazy Settings (selecting no enemy team makes the quests very quick & easy if you're not keen on the mode or playing bots 😉)
