Think about it. Despite being a pretty good Character he can’t be in the Frontlines well because he dies too quick for having a Big hitbox. In GW2 Popcap buffed his Health to 150 to make him more of a Frontline Fighter but then in BFN they decided to reduce his HP? I think Kernel Corn should get his 150 HP back

I think Kernel Corn is perfectly fine how he is right now, Foot Soldier should get a nerf instead. Let me explain:In this game, Corn and Soldier are the same type of character for both teams, not like in GW2, there, Corn was meant to be a slow tanky, team player, crowd control and high damage character, while Soldier is meant to be more versatile, minor damage, alone, harass, pickoff character. In BfN, Soldier and Corn are the same type of the Soldier from GW2. We all know why Soldier is the same of GW2's Soldier, but let me explain Kernel: Shuck Shot and Husk Hop have way less damage and accuracy than their GW2 counterparts, but have minor cooldown and more splash, to be able not to kill the target, but harass then (principally Husk Hop), and Husk Hop is way more reliable to escape fights, and repositon. Butter Beacon makes Corn more versatille by giving him vision, he can see people and predict then more easily. His ground movement after the last patch gave Corn a good way to take out people in X1 fights, by making Corn, again, more versatille.Corn is one of the most balanced characters in this game, his skill cap is very high, he is not good without a team to help him (game's principle), almost all of his upgrades are balanced and not useless or way too strong (except cornucupia and Shogun-Guard, they are garbage lol). They should nerf soldier's upgrades to make him balanced, Rapid Fire, Ranger and Sitcky are WAY too strong right now, surpassing Corn in his current role.

I'd rather see Kernel Corn get a slight damage buff to their main weapon than more health. I enjoy him a lot, one of my favorites, and don't feel he's awful but a slight buff to his main weapon damage would be welcome.

@TJMotor rn I think overall he needs to be issued. The devs are riding on the idea of 'oh, you have to use the butter beacon to do more dmg'. The problem with this is that it forces you to rely on one ability to do decent primary dmg, and this is the problem with 80s, where the ability is reliant is order for the class to be good. I feel, if they buff his dmg, it won't make him op. He is still very bad long-range and I just think his dps is too slow. Buffing his health isn't the solution, it's primarly his damage ouput is too slow for an auto class like him.

@Razorninja56 For the rapid fire upgrade, the revive idea may not work because he is an assault. The super spin upgrade for corn give him increased ROF after a vanquish. For rapid fire, they could simply just rework the max fire rate idea. Instead of the ROF increasing as his ammo is depleted, make the ROF start as soon as soldier has lost half of his clip, so for the 20-25 bullets you have left you get an increased ROF. This means that every shot counts, making it more challenging for the player, unlike rn where nothing has to be achieved for the ROF buff. Simply, soldier players play the character because he is easy. The rapid fire can't be nerfed, it has to be reworked.

@TJMotor Do you really want him to become a 200 hp (150 hp + 50 overhealth) hard to vanquish tanky dps character? Not a good idea...

I’m in two minds about whether I think that Kernel Corn having more health or if he should keep the same amount. Perhaps he should have a really minor health or damage increase, or give the Shogun-Guard upgrade a passive boost to Kernel Corn’s maximum health.

@TJMotor Agree corn’s big hitbox was eazy to hit by captain or 80 hero.This is a big disadvantage.

@GutmanSca In my opinion, Rapid Fire should not exist in it's current state. It's just a DPS boost with no drawbacks, it's bad for balancing. Soldier's damage is lowered to the point that he relies a lot on Rapid Fire. It would be better if it was a completely different weapon.
But I also think Corn and Soldier are underwhelming without certain upgrades. Corn relies too much on Butter Beacon. I think in the game's current state, Corn is fine, but I also think both characters deal damage too slowly. A lot of classes deal damage too slowly. BFN Corn and Soldier deal the minimum damage of GW2 Soldier and Corn, and the rate of fire is similar in both BFN and GW2.

@Pheesley Soldier's damage is just fine without Rapid Fire. However, Rapid Fire should get scrapped into something else because Rapid Fire is what makes him overpowered. No matter how much the devs nerf it, it still gives Foot Soldier a dps buff.

I like buffing his Health rather than his DPS.
The former will make him more unique than the latter will.
I admit that he is not very weak character, but he may be buffed.
