Lack of Players on Xbox One

I'm CONSTANTLY matching the same people on Xbox One. I have Open NAT, so this leads me to believe that either A: There is a low player base. Or B: There is Skill Based Matchmaking. I'm VERY MUCH hopi...

I wouldn't say I'm CONSTANTLY seeing familar names in these games, I'm usually playing turf take over on X1, but funny enough I did pickup on it last night. I even ended up in 2 different matches with two different people on my friends list when we weren't even trying to play together. That's never happened in GW1.
I do think there are far fewer people playing GW2 though, if you go back and play GW1 you can still find nearly full or completely full matches, meaning the player base is split, so I think that has a lot to do with it. With the price being $60 on this one, many people may not have switched over yet. Once the price comes down, I think it'll pick up.Then with issues and bugs this game was and to some extent still is having, some people may have put it away for now. But even though I'm noticing some of the same names in matches, the matches are always full, Which is a problem when you actually do want to play with a friend, it's nearly impossible to find an open slot for them to get in.

I usually have trouble finding a match during the day, but never in the evening. From what I've seen, most of the players are young, so it's tough to find matches during school hours.

If you want to force yourself onto a new server set then do a power cycle. See if you match up with the same people then

I never see the same people really. Of course if you play in the same group from match to match then yeah you will. I never pay attention to that though. As long as there are enough people to play against and with I'm happy.
