Lag Lag Lag

I have zero lag on every multiplayer game on my Xbox One save PvZGW2. It has serious lag. It's like EA's only devoted ONE server to the entire player population.

  • There is, or was, definitely some sort of issue in play because, like you, I never suffer any latency sufficient to affect my game play but there were some definite issues for me last night with some minor rubberbanding  and what was clearly out-of-sync game play. It seemed to start clearing up towards the end of my gaming time but there was definitely something going on in terms of server outage or a communications bottleneck of some sort.

I just lost 10,000 coins because I got booted by lag with my team at 98 and about to win. I'm seriously sick of this.

Again - every game is FINE except PvZGW2 and I think it has something to do with EA stripping it of servers.

  • I have the same issue here, all other games work fine just gw2 lags massively.
I've even called my is and got them to check the line and this is fine.
I have even invested £190 on a new router (netgear d7800)
Just to note I use my ps4 on a wired network to my router and if I use WiFi lag is a little worse.
    Please fix the lag.
Other games I get around 20 pings and this in the portal I get around 50 😕
  • Lovely lag on Ps4... Can't even respawn or go quit the game. Each second takes closer to half a minute. All I can do is either close the game or wait that game kicks me out for not being active... This happened during this weekend event. Hopefully I just have bad luck now and this ain't happening again...

Wait till you guys play the portal event. There's incredible amount of lag which probably due to too many party characters.

Yup =D Did try... 3 match. Got kicked out of 2, barely was able to play 1. Hopefully the lag would be fixed, I would want the stars...

  • I really love the Super Mix events, but I hate it when they limit the character selection to two classes with Party variants. Because they unlock all the characters for the event for everyone, because of the limited class choice, everyone tries to play the Party Time variants that they probably don't have already and the strain of rendering all the extra sparkles, confetti and flash impacts the system horrendously.

I really want to play this mode but I'm going to be forced to skip it and replenish my Rainbow Stars at the next Event because the minute too many particles and light effects happen in your area of the map your system pretty much crashes.

EA has always been "economical" with PVZ GW servers, going all the way back to PVZ I. The matchmaking system is still poor, although it has undergone slight improvements since the first game. At least now it doesn't litter your party amongst the opposing teams at the start of every single game. Annoying, unnecessary and a chore. Also, the fact that players can't join a match server in the pre-game lobby is ludicrous. The best time to join a match is before the game starts, not when it is already underway. This is not rocket science. Other shooters manage this with ease. There is no excuse for this. None. The person responsible for this design decision deserves to be sacked.

The issues with the gnome bomb servers have persisted through to the sequel. While Popcap continue to prostrate themselves before EA, nothing much will change. EA view their customers with nothing but contempt and avarice. The only way to change things is to hit EA where it hurts them the most - their wallet. Boycott their products or refuse to hand over more money to them via in-game purchases. Let them know why you are doing so...but then again EA won't listen. They don't care about us, only our money.
