I'm not surprised, to be honest. This game already seems like there's not going to be much life in it unless they're planning on some major content drops down the road. Getting back on point, while I don't want to rat anyone out, I've definitely seen one player with at least 60-some prize bulbs in one of his videos. I'm guessing that's because he's helping to push the game with his videos and EA is compensating him for his trouble somehow.
@AgentRaygun66 It is totally possible to have more than 50 bulbs saved. This content creator most likely obtained these "extra" bulbs quite legitimately not by "compensation" or pay off by EA.
If you buy bulbs (with rainbow stars), the bulbs will be added to your 50 making it 50+ bulbs.....
the "time limited" rainbow stars pack they have on offer at the moment for real money includes 10 bulbs, again this would add to your bulbs...
and
one of last months activities in Giddy Park gave you 3 bulbs each time you fought the gnome and won... it was possible to collect as many bulbs as you wanted with no limit....
made the end of the month very moderately more interesting... as long as you didn't mind waiting about for the gnome 😃

I think a great idea to fill the Reward-o-Tron would be with the system they had I GW2. Although most people did not enjoy the customization recolors of silver, gold, etc. it would give some purpose to coins. Additionally, I think it would be cool if after ever two new characters, they drop a huge content update, not only with the new character, but new customizations for ever character and the recent ones. It would be a breath of fresh air.
Lastly, I think they should increase the prices for new characters to 1 million coins for each one, and have the legendary upgrades also available for 500,000 coins (Or 750,000 coins). I think it is too easy for many people to get the new characters if they don't increase. Most of my friends waited for Wizard to be purchasable because he was so cheap, making the previous prize map somewhat weak (disappointing) in my opinion. This aspect makes the prize map less rewarding in my opinion, although I love how it is shaped and how you get the rewards.

Although there were some of the silver / gold / gem / scrumptious customisations I liked & used (such as the gem bunny ears for my Stuffy) I personally would much rather not have recolour items - it just clogged your inventory & seemed a lazy way of adding more items.
I would rather have the old basic costume pieces added, more new ones & perhaps new categories of items.
The zombies used to have weapon customisations which I'm sure many players would like having back for example. Tattoos were good for face options, rather than just having hats.... and they could always add in those wretched missing zombies shoes!!! 🤣
