But before I get him to zero, my deck did.
I have run out of cards, and therefore lost, on at least two occasions.
Playing Leprechaun Imps, and then having my opponent bounce them back into my hand, and me thinking, "Woohoo! I get to play him again! More pots of gold for me!"
So I kept playing the pots of gold over and over, since I pretty much had to because I was being kept on the defensive the whole time. But I also remember thinking that my opponent didn't know that he was giving me so many free cards to draw. Of course, I now realise that it's probable he/she knew they could make me lose, if I overdrew my cards, and was doing their best to make it happen.
When you do lose, it's over in an instant. You draw your 40th card (barring any others you may have added, I guess, i.e. Clique Peas, Going Viral, etc), and bam! Game over, there and then. It's a brutal way to lose, when you might have otherwise been winning.
These days, I keep a closer eye on my card draw, and make sure I use more conjuring cards instead.
- Anonymous8 years agoSame here, was confused at first when it happened since it was my trick phase then fight, so how can they do anything. And then realized that my deck was spent.
Another thing that burned me in that same game was after realizing how I lost, that 3 of my last 4 cards were laser base alpha. Not when I was needing them that game that's for sure lol
