Can you provide data for the bolt blaster dealing higher damage? The only non-cosmetic difference I'm aware of is that the crosshairs on the reticle are different. The bling pylon mech indeed does deal 5 more damage than the regular one.
I suppose I (and you) may as well go in the sewers and provide actual data on the bling barrel rather than posting speculations. I will reply to this in a few minutes once I've done so.
Both barrels deal exactly 150 damage.
The debate about bling abilities being stronger than their standard counterparts; it somewhat makes me question how very different they really are.
Bling abilities are supposed to be only one thing and one thing only: it should be nothing more than a change of colour or palette.
In my opinion, I think every bling ability in GW2 should operate exactly like their standard variants. No exceptions.
In the case of the Bling Pylon Mech and Bling BB Blaster, their damage output needs to be reduced to the same level as their standard variants. This should be done not by doing just a maintenance period, but through a version update to all platforms of GW2.
