Master rank

There is no reason to play as a character u have already mastered, it is very frustrating because as u finish leveling up characters and start getting the really good upgrades, it's only 20 kills until it's time to move on to the next class. Some characters rely on upgrades to be useable ex: super commando, tank commander, all roses, some scientists etc... So if u work very hard to make a character good, u should continue to feel good about using that character. I think they should have master 1,2,3,4, and 5. For each of these extra ranks, you have to reach level 5 instead of 10 to upgrade them and u earn 10,000 coins promoting from master to master 1, 20,000 from master 1 to master 2. 30,000 from master 2 to master 3, 40,000 from master 3 to master 4 and 50,000 from master 4 to master 5. I think u should continue to be rewarded for ur dedication to each class. Please give me ur opinions!

You can play as a master-character, simply for that good feeling that you have all the upgrades. 😉 But I agree with the reward for promoting - it should be different for each level of promotion (5000 / 10000 / 20000...). Receiving the same amount of money for first and last promotion doesn't make much sense to me.

  • Maybe they should create a "Grandmaster" rank and make it very hard to get.

It seems to me that ranks really don't mean that much because they are so easy to obtain.

  • No, I don't think you should get more coins for each rank. Coins are easily obtainable already.

The point is to get you to play other variants that you wouldn't normally play. I don't think you should be continued to be rewarded with a class you continually play. That makes no sense to do and I disagree with everything stated.
  • I've unlocked every character and I've Master ranked about a quarter of them and I still actually play the characters which I've Mastered just for the fun of it. The only reason to not play a character which you've Mastered is so that you can devote that time to Mastering another one- if the moment you hit Master and the game ceases to give you anything else you lose all interest then you might be approaching the game with the wrong attitude.

I can understand the Completionist attitude, I myself have all the Trophies, all the characters and I'm picking away at Master ranking all of them and collecting all of the accessories, but you have to stay focused on the game as entertainment and not work. I learned that the hard way grinding to level 313 in GW1 and finding myself not having a lot of fun at the same time. In GW2 I'm simply playing whatever character variant entertains me at the time at this point rather than doggedly grinding towards 100% Complete.
