There has to be a better answer than the current setup. Capping out on Bulbs with broken PvP = 0 reasons to play the game (which is why I suggested resetting progress of PvE areas).
If a person has plenty of time to game, the map is fairly easy to complete. For those of us who don’t usually have time to complete the map, increasing XP/Bulb sounds like a horrible idea/enough reason to quit playing.
The only thing that makes sense is to allow us to bank Rainbow Stars when we reach our capacity of Bulbs.
Those who play often have a chance at earning Rux items, too (without spending dollars, LoL), and those who don’t still stand a chance of completing the map. Win-win (plus another win for EA/Popcap).
Oh they should absolutely leave bulb XP at 5k. 15k was just too much and as we all saw by the posts on the forums, was having the opposite effect of what they wanted; giving people an incentive to play often. 5k is a nice number that worked out well for most players. We had also thrown around 10k, 7.5k, as possible alternatives so them going 5k was even better than some of those other possible changes.
1 rainbow star instead of prize bulb would be pretty fair. You need quite a few to unlock stuff so it's not like you're going to get 1000 of them in a month after unlocking the map and banking 50 bulbs for the next month so people will still have to spend money, get the premier membership, and/or get the weekly challenges done besides the prize map rainnbow star unlocks. Getting a few extra bulbs would indeed encourage people to play more often.
Of course the upcoming balance and TTK changes should be a huge help too. This is part of why I'm playing less, I want to wait till we have a more level playing field for PvP.
I want more things to spend coins on too. I know some people emptied the reward-o-tron out far earlier than I did and some haven't done so yet, but I'm over a million coins and nowhere to go with them, which makes coins feel less rewarding than they could be. I don't mind the lack of consumables, especially all the team retries and self-revives I had in GW2, but something to use the coins on would be another incentive.
