Max Rank Meetup PS4 7/18

So many Max rank players in a single round...

I don't encounter that many Max rank players whenever I play any multiplayer session.

I noted during these matches, at least towards the beginning, that people's gameplay was generally very conservative.  I found this quite surprising.

If you look at the numbers in the lobbies and watch the video, you'll see that, while things did get pretty crazy in the bases, there was not really any genuine try-harding going on.  These were very tolerable matches compared with the trash players in the average turf lobby.

Haven't watched it all yet but will when I get a chance.

OK bud, since I know your playing well I was able to get you added to the group.  Invites are pretty selective, in order to try to keep out the cancer - deto players, gatling/bolt blaster mains, rose campers, etc. One player in that lobby who camped with rose the whole time has been dis-invited.

I think Inception wanted to get a match going this weekend or next, but planning/organizing isn't his strongest suit.  The above matches ended up happening on a couple hours' notice.

This is another reason I wish we had cross-platform play! I know mouse+keyboard has an aiming advantage but if they could balance that it would be awesome. Plus the queues would have all of us playing together so better lobbies for games besides TT.

It would be great to play frequently enough to get back in good competitive shape and attend some of these games but at this point, I'll be happy just to make it happen (logistically, on my side).  ... might be moving soon, etc.  I'd just like to play in a game with several ranked players that aren't all stacked against me.  I know I've shown a few of you guys the screen captures of nasty lobbies but I have tons of super-lopsided screenshots of lobbies I've been a part of and can never remember (not once) being in a highly-ranked lobby with FAIR teams!  I even had this happen (multiple times) in Cats vs Dinos.  The main issue with this game (online, second only to LAG) is team stacking.....

As far as my gaming - you guys know I'll literally play any style with any character and dominate or get skunked, it's all the same to me.  I'd rather have fun than be so serious all the time.  I dare say I would only enjoy those lobbies at an optimum level, if you and Dustin were there, too, on my team, win or lose.

In other words... unless I know it's competitive play or I'm on the losing end of never-ending team stacking, try-harding isn't my objective.  I've had some of my best fun running around maps trying NOT to kill opponents and only trying to heal teammates.  Much like Bob and his side missions (entertainment purposes; not game related), I can pick my least favorite characters and try to top 3 them and be happy-go-lucky.
