I understand the players rage about the new cards, balances made and all other sort of things. But I also understand the thoughts behind this changes from the devs.
Consider this: When a card is created they need to consider 3 main things to look out for:
-The ability of the card
-The advantage/disadvantage you get from playing it
-Their cost
All this things determine the rarity that is going to be assigned to it.
Let me give you an example: A new player spends all his 6 suns playing a Poison Oak or a Smashing Pumpking in his turn.
What do you think is more fair?
-The enemy Zombie spends 5 brains to kill it, leaving him 1 brain to do something else. (Locust Swarm)
Or
-The enemy Zombie spends 3 brains to kill it, leaving him 3 brains to do something else. (Rocket Science)
That is what determines the rarity of a card.
The other aspect, Briar Rose, the devs intentionally placed the stats this way so that the card can't be killed that easily.
Take for example Team Mascot, the most crucial card in any sport deck. Its health got buffed from 3 to 4 so that the card can't be killed so easily like it was before, giving you at least one effect of the card. That's why Briar Rose is a 3/4 and not a 4/3. (Same thing with Strongberry. When it had just 3 health, many zombies and tricks could instantly kill it, thus not letting you get any advantage from the card).
From the healing cards and the Heartichoke...
Healing cards are pretty weak, you can kill them pretty easily with the right cards. And that's the key word, the right cards.
If you try to beat a buffed Venus Flytrap with a bunch of 1/1 dancers well... You are most likely going to lose. You need to modify your deck to add more answers to it. Any environment, as cheap as it may be, helps you defeat the lethal loop of doom.
Other solutions are but not limited to: Alien Ooze, Final Mission, Cakesplosion, etc.

XD Duh! Zombie cards cost a lot of brains to put them in game and to destroy a simple card with 3/4 because you need to spend a lot of brains. It's very difficult. You die before you destroy it. jajajaja
