Please try these steps to help prevent that:
- Make sure your monitor is connected to your GPU rather than motherboard video output
- Open the nvidia Control Panel
- Click Manage 3D settings
- Click the Program Settings tab
- Click the Add button
- Select the game from the list or click browse and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\PVZ Battle for Neighborville\PVZBattleforNeighborville.exe
- Select PVZBattleforNeighborville.exe and then Open
- Customise individual settings if you like
- Exit nvidia control panel and try playing.
