Multiplayer connectivity issues

I am able to connect to garden ops mode but yet I cant seem to connect to multiplayer, it always says "error: you have lost the connection to the game session" before I get a chance to play. its very unfortuante because this game is really fun and I am a trophy hunter so I am looking to get the platinum trophy but I need this issue resolved. my internet connection is fine so that isnt the problem. can somebody please shed some light on this? thanks

  • Do you encounter any issues when you host the game? What do your NAT settings look like?

Garden Ops is host based, so when you're joining a game, you're connecting directly to another player. If their internet settings are less than great, you will experience connectivity issues.

That error message is generally from when the host leaves.

Same issue, been going on for over a week now.  I'm NAT 2.  I've managed to get into a couple of rounds of Taco Bandits after about 10 tries, all other modes never work though.  Also, this is on PS4.

  • Recently got PvZ Garden Warfare for PS4 via the free 20th anniversary sale they had.  Was not aware of the PS+ requirement.  Got PS+ over the weekend, and now some 4 days later it STILL says cannot connect to EA servers.  I've scoured google for an answer, but just can't find a solution.  Please help with this issue.  My PSN is working just fine, and I'm able to log in to orgin on my PC and play sims4 with no issues.  I understand this was a free download, but it's pretty discouraging.  Thanks in advance.

Is it neccessary to open some ports just to play the multiplayer modes? 'cause garden ops works for me, but the multiplayer just doesnt want to work...I've read about portforwarding but i want to know if it really needs that to be done. The problem's just that my router cant open any ports and i'd need to buy another one and if that's acutally unneccessary, it would be burned money.
