My Feedback for Plants vs Zombies 3 New Beta

Hello. I’m KEVINNGW808, Indonesian PVZ Gamer since 2011. And for this topic about PVZ 3, let me share my story.

Back when first version of PVZ 3 back in 2020 was released, I was shocked and made a gameplay videos with it. Here’s my thoughts.

• Why no Sunflower like what other games did? It sure kinda donwgrade of the game.
• New Map System. Where I can play any levels everywhere. One area with 3 zombies attack, I’m ready.
• Devour Tower. Very challenging levels. And I remember you bring back Zomboss, I’m so happy that I can challenge Zomboss in Devour Tower.
• As for Devour Tower topic, it had requirement system to beat any levels, which is annoying before that update changed it. Sure it’s hard to collect plants and need to upgrade plants more.
• Star System. Oh yes. I remember old version PVZ 2 has this. Score system is new thing and nice with how to gain that highscore. It also get benefit for Star Tree which is useful for get more coins and seeds.
• CLUBS! This is my favourite. I can join clubs and talk with my friends.
• Arena system is good. Challenge, collect trophies, and gain rank. Also collect some (I forgot what is it) for shop. Good.
• Speaking of shop, it’s normal shop. And I can say this has MTX, but no. This can playable without it.
• Daily Events are awesome too. New Zombies new Boss are gathering.
• Interesting ambush for each area.
• Leveling system? I know people will dislike this.

My conclusion: I actually like this version, it’s cool. I don’t care about the art, at least they made something new to me. I can say this game is PVZ 2, but shorter version because the gameplay is short and fast. Which is better.

Back to Septermber 2021, New Beta of PVZ 3 was made. I look into it and I can say this is has upgrades and kinda downgrade in my opinion.

• No Map System, just levels that endless. Like Homescapes did. Which is I don’t like as I want to play them (levels) again, but whatever, still enjoy the game.
• Levels are harder, too spam zombies, like 3X3 Buckethead. And levels that beatable with Power-Ups is a no from me.
• No Leveling? I’m fine with that. I saw lot of people commented like “Damn you PVZ 3 has leveling. Bad!” which is no more. It’s for players sake.
• I can’t pick plants either see what the zombies like Old PVZ 3 did. Like unexpected Gargantuar in one level, that surprised me. Also, no almanac system.
• No Clubs, no arena. How I can say this, but I miss clubs.

And now, new version of Beta PVZ 3 has come. I played those levels and gave the survey. Here’s my thoughs.

• The gameplay has Turbo button, good.
• It has story now? Now this game like Homescape style...
• New Characters in the game? Need more drawings. Still cool to have new friends.
• New Plant: Silver Sword. I like this, but need buff the damage...
• New “Roof” System (kinda) for volcano stage. Nostalgia, eh?
• The gameplay is easier now. But some levels has kinda spammy.

My conclusion: I can feel this new PVZ 3 is better than 2021 version, but I need more information as the final update for this game. I like this version 50/50 than 2020 version. For make this perfect, I give some hope for this game.

• Bring back old Plants and Zombies from Beta PVZ 3 2020.
• Bring back map system like 2020 version did.
• Add almanac.
• Make all levels not Locked and Loaded system. Still annoying that can’t pick any plants.
• Make each level has information what zombies we face.
• Possible to bring Arena back? Well, it’s my opinion tho...
• No one mower system. Bring mower system like PVZ 1/PVZ 2 Did.
• Maybe add minigame?
• Daily events for battling Zomboss or other boss.

That’s all I can have. I don’t know when this project will finalize, but I hope that this game will be better version for next update as here’s my feedback for me and other players.
