I'm gonna be the Debbie Downer over here, but Citron in GW2 was just about the most perfectly created plant for assault purposes. They should have left his Orange Beam alone for BFN. Coupled with his LT zoom, this made for quite a good attack mode. This combo is one of the best he had and I still use it to this day in GW2 as it really assists with vanquishes. I almost never use the BFN Citron except for character challenges or to farm prize bulbs. My favorite character is now the biggest disappointment of all, in my opinion. To me, the changes that were made wore out his usefulness tout suite and was replaced by NightCap. Citron's damage is way too low, considering his Orange Beam (now called the Naval Laser) was replaced with Juice Cannon, which is like replacing an M-80 with a firecracker. In addition, in GW2 when he used his Peel Shield, he was able to fire either his Orange Beam or EMPeach or reload when he was overheated. Almost all of these functions have been disabled when the shield is in place. He truly serves no purpose in multiplayer as any/all Citrons are soon replaced with other characters not long after the match begins. It simply cannot compete with any Zombie currently in game, including the Wizard. Character needs a massive overhaul, if not removal from the game. Sorry, but that's how disappointed I am in what EA did to my beloved Citron.
@AgentRaygun66to me citron feels like the close range fighter on the plant team. snap doesnt rly fit the title of close range fighter cuz he is really good at pretty much all ranges. citron has to get up in the zombie's face to get work done. which is why navel laser doesnt make much sense.
the ability needs to be buffed/reworked or replaced. id hope theyd give citron something more suitable for his character instead of try make navel work somehow ]:^p
Even with the Juiced Upgrade, it's bad. I don't know if it has something to do with the field of view but I actually find it harder to hit people with the Juiced upgrade. And the damage isn't all that impressive from the upgrade either.
maybe it should do 15 damage at the end.
