Good to see a fellow MTG player in these parts. Played from Ice Age to about 3 years ago. The MTG player in me will always be looking for some great new TCG/CCG games and right now, this is my favorite one by far! 🙂

you are right this is really the best digital ccgs right now, being able to combine two classes is great, plus the lanes mechanic is great as well. my only (minor) gripes are the block meter and having special powers on the heroes as sometimes the powers really don't match the deck you build for that hero.
Block meter can be a pain. I'll go on stretches where mine fills up quickly and I feel bad because my opponent gets screwed, then there are times where Mine fills up one slot at a time and my opponents fills up and blocks the 3rd hit. It's just too inconsistent for my tastes.
I guess the good thing is it adds a sense of unpredictability to the game which makes strategizing that much more challenging but still.
The only thing I hated was Insta-Block and they seem to have downgraded it to less than 1% chances of it happening. (I thought it was removed but it happened once yesterday)
But the rest of the block meter is really cool like this. I like the unpredictability it creates. It adds a bit of chance to this game (not as much as Hearthstone, thank god), but enough to make it interesting.
@NotAGamer221 i like the way they did it in elder scroll legends where every 5 health it procs. however in that game it doesn't stop the damage just draws you a card from your deck.
Luck in this game can be aggravating enough without the random block though. You've seen the 31-0 shroom deck and how many lower cost plants it has... well today I went on like a 3 game streak where all my initial draws and redraws were 4+ cost plants. Needless to say I lost every match.
