Nintendo Switch: pvz bfn cannot connect to EA servers

Hi!

I just got Plants vs Zombies: Battle for Neighborville today and when I got in the game and attempt to go online I get the connection error saying "Unable to connect to EA servers at this time. Please check your network connection and try again later. See ea.com/unable-to-connect for additional information." When looking at the website recommended it showed that the servers were not down. I also have a stable internet connection and my Nintendow Switch Online subscription still has 2 months before I need to renew it. I have attempted reinstalling the game, restarting my switch, deleting my save data (I felt safe to do so because I had no save data to really lose, do not attempt this if you have save data you don't want to lose), and changing to my mobile hotspot (this was to check if my internet really was the problem or not). All of these did not help and were really just a waste of time. I tried looking online for videos to help, but there were none that I could find for this problem on the nintendo switch, especially when only starting up the game for the first time. The error makes it sound as though the servers were down, and I cannot find any other options to help resolve this issue, but the servers seemed to be online. I also wanted to include that the software says it is up to date and so is my Nintendo Switch.
