I believe a possibility, it could be that popcap seattle will take control of the production of the battle of neighborville game, since being an active studio that adds new characters every week in the mobile plants vs zombies 2 game, it could easily resume the characters in Neighborville development, in addition to the legendary upgrades, existing costumes, adding the cross play update now available for new EA games, earning revenue from the switch release, and massive availability of costumes for new characters and regular seasonal packs. It would be a useful proposal, to bring all the characters created in the mobile game to the console game, and complement that this console series would not include variants due to the wide availability of characters.

@Seavolcan Now that would be really cool, I do not see that happening, but seems possible to me.

@TheSprinter85. Except pvz 2 was 50 times more successful than bfn and its a lot cheaper to support a mobile game that actually churns out a profit then a third person shooter that didnt even break two million players according to gamstat or a thousand peak on steam with mixed reviews.
I mean let's face it guys bfn was simply a flop that has all but buried the series and it would have to be a miracle for it to be supported again, heck I had plenty of friends that even when the game was supported, who were very dissappinted in the direction of the gameplay to a poor mans overwatch and werent enthusiastic about the game.
- TheSprinter855 years agoHero@stukapooka I mean the developers made lots of different changes to the game this time around. The GW series worked really well, but BFN made lots of changes. Most of these changes I liked, but not all of them.
Hopefully, if another shooter is made, the developers do leave a decent amount of features from BFN (like the character upgrade system) but also keeps the shooter GW themed as well. That would satisfy most, I would imagine! 🙂- stukapooka5 years agoLegend@TheSprinter85 The upgrade system would have to be heavily balanced out or removed entirely as it gave some characters busted amplifiers that took them months to fix and some are just useless and you should never pick them over the others and legendaries are just broken poor mans variants leading to superbrainz easily dominating entire games.
The first thing they would have to do is earn back the people who left the series as one bad game can drive fans away and make them cautious with buying another one. I've seen it happen with other series such as aliens with the latest fireteam trailer being riddled with people cautious about the game after Colonial Marines which like bfn should have been one of the best games in the series with the blueprints of the past to guide it but instead became a dissapointing failure littered with bugs and glitches which put the franchise on ice in terms of shooters for years (we gave up an avp 2010 sequel for this crap-practically every aliens fan in 2013?).
