Ok Mt Steep Battle Chest 4
I work and don't have a lot of time to follow things here, but does anyone know if Battle Chest 4 in Mt Steep is crazy? It's the only thing i am missing from that region and i cannot even get close ...

Wow... talk about some differences! (...referencing this challenge post patches/balancing.)
I tried with Oak earlier and failed 2.5 times (quit once when I ran out of time).
I’m hoping to try later and will make a video, if I have time.
This is doable but will feel impossible to many people.
Side note: I LOVE having to wait so long for Oak to channel on this challenge and having the super long cool down he used to not have. Uber stoked he can’t function like Space Station anymore. Also notice there’s no Acorns on my team. Lame. 🤦🏼♂️
🤣 at the difficulty of this challenge now.
EDIT: the controls are still horrendous and likely the main reason I didn’t win earlier. Mash 🔺3-4 times before it works, aiming (now with Aim Assist completely OFF) still feels drunk...

I did it with 4 players. Very easy. The AI is not supportive at all. I'm not sure it can be done solo. When are you looking to complete.
- @FootSoldier9908 No rush. The stupid thing SHOULD be do-able solo, but I've lost all enthusiasm for endless attempts!! What IS it with the plant AIs in particular?? I'll give it a go with my son & give you a shout if that fails! Thanks so much! 😊
I can help tomorrow evening for sure. Its currently 3am my time and I have to be up in 3 hours for work. May have been having nightmares about BFN and ended up here. Lol.
Perhaps tomorrow, 3-5 hours earlier than now. Will that be ok?

It’s very doable solo you just have to play strategically,
I beat it with Citron last night but will check other characters this morning, if I have time.

I will say this .... Oak’s inadequacies are glaringly obvious to me now.
- @spIash_damage Thank you! Yes re Oak - and I also noticed last night that a mastered peashooter in gatling & a mastered sunflower in sunbeam can together barely barely crack the shields of a four-man space station . . . .
- @ToastedSarnie I'm available on Xbox if you if you still need some help too. I remember struggling in these but I don't remember what specific ones were. Did eventually solo them all so I should be able to get through with a partner that isn't the sad sad sad AI 😋.
I'm also glad to hear I'm not the only one that ropes the kids into helping on this sort of stuff. I made one do the pirate ops with me because I was losing my mind and he grumbled the first 5 mins at me. If only my parents "made" me play video games as a kid. 🤣 - @TLEsquire Thanks! My son doesn't mind usually, but he hates the battle chests too & has been getting me to do his as well! Haha, funnily enough, my mum got us into console - she's considered the most awesome grandmother ever!!
- @ToastedSarnie It's all very good natured. He just wants to pick on me that I need help lol He lost interest in BfN quickly and would rather do GW2 so when we play I let him go with what he wants. Then there's competing interests like Fortnite and actual-soccer-in-the-real-world-with-grass-and-sun-and-other-people (that one I very much support, it come right after homework on the supported activities list)
And that does make your mom the coolest gram ever. Let her know we on the forum agree with that assessment 👍👵 Just beat it with Peashooter. Failed with Corn and Sunflower. I feel like I could learn the upgrades for Corn and Sunflower and beat it... I just don’t know the upgrades nor have time.

Agreed. I need it to be possible solo. I'm on Xbox EST. The plant AI are infuriating! Sunflower won't heal...I have only tried Oak, I seem to get a small amt ahead, but then collapse toward second half. I can't even remember how many timed I've attempted this, toooo many. My problem with using another character is how fast I die with lower health

It’s fairly easy with Citron or Peashooter.
I’m about to upload the videos and will make a separate thread with a small video tutorial for each character.
If work doesn’t push me around today, I’ll try to make a video tutorial for Corn and Sunflower, too.
I think once you all see the way to play it, it’ll make beating this (solo) a little easier.
- @spIash_damage Thank you for taking the time to do all this! I failed solo as most characters, my AI weren't helpful & though I came close as peashooter, the zombies just overtook & gained too big an advantage!
Have just beat it however, with my son! He played peashooter, while I protected him as citron & concentrated on stunning & reviving. We also found the AI sunflower suddenly stuck with us & started being useful after I'd been able to revive her - don't know if that was a coincidence?! I can see citron might be good solo but it's not one I tried, as it's the plant class I'm least confident with!!!

- @spIash_damage funnily enough the character I wound up completing it on was the Corn.
I think it goes to show that there is a heavy random factor involved due to your AI teammates when you're soloing it.

His Husk Hop is still so trash that I continue to die expecting it to damage enemies. 😂
- @ToastedSarnie Jet i'm not brave i just don't have anybody to do it with!! I get so aggravated, i quit mid-game once i'm pretty far behind. Why continue. Sometimes (rarely), i am ahead for a good bit of time, but then it's like they gang up on me i'm screwed. And the spawn point is so far away i have to sprint like a son of a *, then wait to summon the oak.
